Have you ever built a tall tower out of blocks? If you use just one skinny block at the bottom, it falls easily, a tiny puff of wind knocks it right over. But if you use several blocks, side by side, forming a wide base, the tower stands firm, it can take a little push and not fall.
The Bible says that Wisdom built a house with seven pillars. Seven is a way of saying "lots and lots." It wasn't just one pillar in the middle of the room. There were several, spread out, each one holding up a piece of the roof.
That's how God wants our life to be. It's not enough to be good at school and forget to be kind to your brother. It's not enough to pray before bed and fight all day long. A truly strong life has several pillars: loving God, taking care of your family, studying hard, telling the truth, being kind. When one pillar wobbles, the others hold the house up.
Jesus is the strongest pillar of all, the one that holds up all the others. When we build our life with Him at the center, even if we mess something up one day, the whole house doesn't fall down, because He's there holding everything up.
A house with many pillars doesn't fall from just one gust of wind.
