The Law of Ransom: The Shield of Integrity

Day 21 · December · Proverbs 21:18

Today's Verse

"Whoever is honest escapes trouble, but whoever is wicked ends up falling into the trap they set for others."

Proverbs 21:18 · NIV

The Story

Have you ever seen that cartoon with the Coyote and the Road Runner? The Coyote is always setting traps, dropping rocks, rigging explosives to catch the Road Runner.

But what always happens? The rock falls on the Coyote's own head! The explosive blows up in his own hand! And the Road Runner, who never hurt anyone, runs off free and happy: beep-beep!

The Bible says life works the same way. Whoever tries to do harm to others (the wicked) ends up getting hurt by their own harm. But whoever is honest and kind (the righteous), God protects and rescues from the mess.

Today's Challenge

Don't set traps!

Never try to "get even" or set a trap for someone. Be honest and do what's right. God takes care of you and won't let the rock fall on your own head!

Whoever completes this becomes the Wisdom Guardian of day 21!
