The Prayer of Balance: The Wisdom of "Neither More, Nor Less"

Day 30 · December · Proverbs 30:8

Today's verse

“Father in Heaven, don't let me become too poor or too rich. Just give me the food I need.”

Proverbs 30:8 · NIV

The Story

Imagine a pizza and ice cream buffet. If you eat too much (abundance), what happens? Your belly hurts, you feel sick, and you can't even play. If you don't eat anything (poverty), you get weak, hungry, and sad.

What's the best way? Eating just the right amount! Not too much, not too little. The Bible says life works the same way. Having too much can make us forget God (thinking we own the whole world). Having too little is bad too. The wise person asks God: 'Give me what's good for me, so I can be happy and never forget You.'

Today's Challenge

The Right Amount

Today, when you're eating or playing, remember: you don't need to overdo it. Be thankful for what you have right now. Say: 'Thank You, God, because I have a bed, food, and a family. That's all I need!'
