The Two Goats on the Bridge

Day 13 · February · Proverbs 13:10

Today's verse

“When two people want to go through the door at the same time and neither one lets the other pass, everybody gets hurt. That's Pride.”

Proverbs 13:10 · NIV

The Story

Imagine two stubborn goats on a narrow bridge. One wants to cross this way, the other that way. They butt their horns together: "Get out of my way!", "You get out of my way!" What happens? They both fall into the river!

That's Pride: thinking I'm more important than you. The Bible says pride only brings fights. But whoever is Wise knows how to say "excuse me" and knows how to listen to a friend's advice. Whoever lets the other go first or asks for help never falls off the bridge!

Today's Challenge

The Wise Ear

Today we're going to practice the "Wise Ear." If you disagree about something (which show to watch or which toy to use), instead of fighting, ask: "What's your idea?"

Whoever can listen to their sibling's idea without shouting is the King of Wisdom today!
