Wisdom Pill · For the grown-ups to read with the kids

Curious Pedalers

Day 19 · February · Proverbs 19:27

Today's verse

“Wisdom is just like riding a bike: if you stop pedaling, you don't just stand still, you fall!”

Proverbs 19:27 · NIV

The Story

Do you remember what it's like to ride a bike? If you sit on the seat and don't push the pedal, the bike tips over sideways. For it to stay up and go forward, you have to keep pedaling all the time!

The Bible says learning good things from dad, mom, and Jesus is our "pedal." If we think, "Oh, I already know how to be good, I don't need to listen to mom anymore," we stop pedaling. And what happens? We fall and start making a mess again! We have to listen to instruction every day to keep going fast and safe.

Today's Challenge

Today we're going to be the "Curious Pedalers"!

Your challenge is to learn one new thing today (it can be a new word, how an animal lives, or something from the Bible) and teach it to dad at dinner.

Whoever stops learning falls off the bike!
