Have you ever gone to a friend's house and thought their toy was way cooler than yours? Sometimes we even feel like taking our friend's toy home with us.
But the Bible says we should "drink from our own well." That means Our Father in Heaven gave special gifts just for you: your family, your toys, your intelligence.
If we spend all our time looking at what our friend has, we forget to play with our own things and end up sad for no reason. It's like having a tasty bottle of water in your hand and choosing to stay thirsty while staring at someone else's bottle!
Jesus offers us the best water of all: one that never runs out and never leaves us thirsty again. When we drink that water, we're so satisfied that we don't even envy what belongs to others.
Take good care of your own things. The water from your well is tastier than it looks!
