Have you ever seen a walkie-talkie? To work, one person presses the button and talks, and the other has to let go of the button and listen. If both press the talk button at the same time, no one understands anything and it makes a horrible noise!
The Bible says the kid who has no sense only wants to press the talk button. He interrupts dad, cuts mom off in the middle of a sentence, and doesn't want to understand his brother's game, he just wants his idea to be the winning one.
But the really smart kid, the Silent Detective, knows how to let go of the button. He thinks it's super cool to learn new things. And to learn, he needs to open his ears wide and zip his mouth shut.
God gave us two ears and one mouth. You can see the proportion!
Whoever listens more gets smarter. The Silent Detective collects clues that the loud kid will never find!
