Have you ever gone to the doctor, and they explained about a little medicine, but you weren't paying close attention and took it at the wrong time? Hearing without understanding doesn't help much, right?
The Bible tells us to do two things: first, listen to wise people, the ones who know more, who teach good things. Not just anyone, but people who really know!
And second, seek to understand. That means chewing on what you heard, thinking, asking questions, testing it. It's not just letting the information go in one ear and out the other!
Listening opens the door. Understanding lets Wisdom in to live inside you!
