Today is Good Friday. It's the day we remember that Jesus opened his arms on the cross to give us the greatest gifts in the universe.
Today's verse talks about Wisdom's two hands: one holds long life, the other holds riches and honor. Sounds strange, right? But all of that came because of someone who opened his own hands and let them be nailed out of love for us.
When Jesus did that, he handed it all over with an open hand: forgiveness, peace, a new life. He didn't hold anything back for himself. He gave everything. And now we get to receive those gifts for free, just by believing and accepting!
An open hand is Wisdom's gesture. And Jesus taught us that on the cross.
