Truth Hero

Day 11 · April · Proverbs 11:5

Today's Verse

“The righteousness of the blameless makes their paths straight, but the wicked are brought down by their own wickedness.”

Proverbs 11:5 · NIV

The Story

Imagine two friends who accidentally broke a vase. The first one got scared and made up a story: he said it was the cat, then he said it was the wind, then that it was already broken before. But then he had to remember everything he'd made up so the stories wouldn't change. It was so much work!

The second friend went to his parents, heart racing, and said: "It was me. By accident. I'm sorry." And you know what happened? In two minutes everything was resolved. He was free!

The Bible says today that honesty makes the path easier. It doesn't mean there won't be consequences, but the path stays clean and direct. Whoever lies has to walk through a maze, taking detour after detour. Whoever tells the truth walks a straight road.

The Truth Hero has a lighter heart because they don't carry the weight of lies!

Today's Challenge

Light Heart!

The Truth Hero isn't the one who never makes mistakes. It's the one who has the courage to say when they did!

Family Prayer

Lord Jesus, You are the Way and the Truth, and your yoke is light. Give our family the courage to tell the truth even when it hurts, and the grace to receive one another's truth well. Amen.
