Have you ever tried listening to a song on the car radio and it all turned to static? That annoying noise that ruins the beautiful song that's supposed to be playing? That happens when the radio isn't on the right frequency. The signal exists, the music is being transmitted, but the static ruins it all.
The Bible says today that prayer works a bit like a radio. Father Heaven is always transmitting, always listening, always present. But when we do wrong things and don't say sorry, it's like we put static between us and Him. The prayer arrives all crackly!
But when we have a clean little heart, ask for forgiveness when we mess up, and try to do what's right, the radio becomes crystal clear. The prayer arrives straight through, no static. And the best part: Jesus is like a powerful amplifier who fixes the signal when we can't do it on our own!
