Wisdom Pill · Day 16

The Golden Filter

April 16, 2026 · Proverbs 16:23

“Words are like arrows! The wise child aims carefully with the brain before shooting with the mouth!”

Proverbs 16:23 · NLT (paraphrase)

Story

Did you know there's a gatekeeper who lives in our mouth? His job is to look at every word before it comes out and say, "This word is good, it can pass!" or "Whoa, this word will hurt someone, go back!"

The foolish child leaves the gate wide open. When they get angry, they say whatever pops into their head, and end up hurting the people they love most.

The wise child closes their mouth, takes a breath, and lets their brain think for just a moment. And when they finally speak, their voice is calm, and everyone listens, because they chose smart words. Jesus was like that: he always thought with love before speaking to people.

The Golden Filter

Today, if you get angry or your parents correct you, it's forbidden to respond right away! Close your mouth, count "1, 2, 3" in your head, and only then speak, politely.

If you complete the challenge, you win the title: Master of Words! 🗣️
