Wisdom Pill · Day 18

The Team Captain

April 18, 2026 · Proverbs 18:1

“The little sheep who thinks it doesn't need anyone and goes off to play alone in the forest ends up in danger. The wise child walks together with the flock and listens to the one who takes care of them!”

Proverbs 18:1 · NLT (paraphrase)

Story

Have you ever met someone who always wants to invent the rules alone? There was a boy who, whenever his friends disagreed with him about something, would just walk away and go play by himself in the corner. He thought: "I don't need them, I can have fun on my own!"

But do you know what happens to a little sheep that decides to wander off from the flock to play alone in the forest? It gets lost, it gets scared, and it can even run into danger! Sheep are safer, warmer, and happier when they stay together, close to the shepherd and to each other.

Jesus was never a lone wolf. He always walked surrounded by his friends, the twelve disciples. Even being the Son of God, he chose to do everything together with them, to listen to them, and to love them, even when they made mistakes.

The Power of Teamwork

Today, when you're going to build or play something with your brother, sister, or parents, don't do it all by yourself in your own way. Before you start, ask: “What do you think about us doing it like this?” and really listen to what the other person suggests.

Try to use at least one idea that wasn't yours in what you build or play. That's how a true team captain acts!

If you complete the challenge, you win the title: Team Captain! 👑
