The Shield of Peace

Day 22 · April · Proverbs 22:10

Today's Verse

“You can't keep the house clean if someone insists on walking in with muddy shoes. A wise child chooses to play with peacemakers, not with someone who makes a mess!”

Proverbs 22:10 · NIV

The Story

Have you ever played with someone who only wants to start fights, who calls everyone names and never wants to follow the rules? The Bible calls that person "the mocker." It's as if they were stepping onto the clean rug of playtime with shoes covered in mud!

The Bible says that sometimes the only way for playtime to become fun again and the fights to end is by saying: "I'm not going to play with you while you act like that." That's not being mean; it's protecting your heart.

Our Father in Heaven wants us to love everyone, but we don't need to walk hand in hand with someone who only wants to make a mess and hurt others.

Today's Challenge

Today let's train the "Shield of Peace"!

If you're playing today (at school or at home) and a friend starts being really annoying, calling names, or fighting on purpose, the challenge is not to fight back! You'll activate your shield, turn around, and go find something else to do with friends who bring peace.

Whoever manages to run from the fights and choose the right company today wins the Guardian of Peace medal!
