Imagine you have a real, super-shiny diamond. Suddenly, someone shows up and says: "Trade your diamond for this strawberry candy?" What would a smart kid say? "Of course not!" The Bible says telling the truth, obeying your parents, and being fair is our most valuable diamond.
But sometimes a temptation shows up. A voice that says: "Just lie a little bit so you don't get in trouble" or "Trick your friend so you can win the game." That's the temptation trying to buy your truth in exchange for a spoiled piece of candy. The child who has Jesus's heart says "No!" Truth isn't for sale!
