The Strong Champion

Day 27 · April · Proverbs 27:7

Today's Verse

“Whoever ate a bunch of candy doesn't even want their favorite dish anymore. But the child who played hard and wants to grow strong finds even broccoli delicious!”

Proverbs 27:7 · NIV

The Story

Have you noticed that when we eat a whole bunch of candy before lunch, we lose our appetite and don't want to eat real food? And real food is what makes us grow! The Bible says that sometimes we think we already know everything and don't want to learn new things anymore. We get full and reject the good things.

But the child who wants to be the best at what they do is always hungry to learn! They know that sometimes studying or putting away toys feels a little bitter and boring in the moment, but they do it happily, because they know it's going to make them so much stronger and smarter in the end!

Today's Challenge

The Champion's Hunger

Today's challenge is to do something you think is bitter (it could be eating a vegetable you don't like much, making your bed, or doing homework) but do it with a great big smile and without complaining even once!

Whoever eats the bitter food with joy today wins the Strong and Smart Champion trophy!
