Root of the Day

Day 2 · Proverbs 2:21

Today's Verse

“The upright will live in the land, and the blameless will remain in it.”

Proverbs 2:21 · NIV

The Story

Have you ever seen a strong tree that nobody planted? No way! Every strong tree came from a tiny seed planted with care.

Think about it this way: the sun, the rain, and the wind try to knock the tree down, but it doesn't fall because it has deep roots. Character works the same way. The deeper it is, the more you can withstand life's storms.

Jesus taught in Matthew 7:24-25: whoever hears His words and puts them into practice is like someone who built their house on the rock. Rain, flood, wind, the house didn't fall because it had a foundation. Every time you do the right thing even when nobody's watching, your root grows deeper.

You're planting roots for yourself and for those who come after you. (Prov 20:7)

Today's Challenge

Root of the Day!

Whoever planted the Root of the Day is building the tree nobody can knock down!

Family Prayer

Lord Jesus, help us have deep roots of character. May we be the same in the light and in the shadow, when people are watching and when they're not. May our life be a strong tree for everyone who comes after us. Amen.
