Have you ever felt that little hunger in your stomach that makes you want to go get a snack right now? God put that little hunger in us for a reason: it's like a little motor that makes us act!
Think about it: the farmer plants because he's hungry and knows the harvest will feed him. The baker bakes bread because that little hunger pushes him to work. God made us this way on purpose, so we wouldn't just sit still all day!
But there's another kind of hunger, one inside the heart, that no snack can fill. It's a hunger for love, for peace, for feeling truly happy. And guess what? Only God can fill that one.
Jesus said something amazing about it: “I am the bread of life” (John 6:35). That means He's the only one who can really fill up the hunger inside our hearts, forever!
