You know when you go on a treasure hunt and need to search, follow the clues, and work hard to find the prize? God's wisdom is like a hidden treasure. It doesn't show up by itself in front of us; we need to search for it: paying attention when parents and teachers teach us, reading the Bible, asking questions.
And most important of all: storing in our hearts what we learn and putting it into practice. Whoever really searches finds the greatest treasure of all, which is knowing God. Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is like a treasure so valuable it's worth keeping with all your care.
Wisdom is a treasure: whoever searches with all their heart, finds it.
