Do you know how a fisherman catches a fish? He puts a tasty worm or a shiny lure on the hook. The fish only sees the delicious food and thinks “yum!”, and doesn't notice the hook hiding underneath. When it bites, it's too late.
Some things in life are like that: they look really fun and cool on the outside, but hide a hook that hurts. It could be a prank that seems funny but hurts someone, or something wrong that friends invite you to do, saying it's super cool. A smart person, before biting, stops and asks: is this actually good, or is it bait with a hidden hook?
And the best way to avoid falling into the trap is to stay close to the people who love you and to God, who always shows the safe path.
Not everything that looks tasty is good; check if there's a hidden hook.
