Before anything else, a truth that never changes: God loves you all the time, on the day things work out and on the day they don't. His love was never about your results.
Now imagine you got a little seed and planted it in a pot. What's your part? Putting in good soil, watering it every day, keeping it in the sun, and not forgetting about it. You can do that, and you can do it really well.
But there's a part you can't do no matter what: making the plant grow. Nobody can pull a little plant to make it grow faster; if you pull it, it breaks. Growing is God's part, and He does it while we sleep.
Life works the same way. When there's a test, your part is to study with care. When there's a game, your part is to practice. When there's a friendship, your part is to be truly kind. After that, you hand the result over to God and stay at peace. Sometimes you study a lot and the test doesn't go the way you wanted, or you practice hard and the team loses anyway. That doesn't mean God turned against you, and His love stays exactly the same size. There are things only He can see, and He keeps taking care of you the whole time.
