Wisdom Pill · Day 23

The Little Seed You Can't See Growing

July 23, 2026 · Proverbs 23:18

“There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.”

Proverbs 23:18 · NIV

Before anything else: God loves you the same today and tomorrow. His love for you doesn't change with time, and the future He has prepared is good.

Have you ever planted a little seed? At first, you only see dirt. A day goes by, two, a week, and nothing seems to happen on the outside. But under the ground, where your eyes can't reach, the seed is working. One day it breaks through the dirt and the little plant appears. It wasn't born that day; it had been growing the whole time, hidden.

Hope is like that. Having hope isn't thinking toys will rain from the sky tomorrow. It's knowing God is taking care of your future even on the days when nothing seems to be happening.

And here's something important. The small good choices you make today are like watering that seed. Telling the truth, helping at home, forgiving a friend, obeying with love. It seems like nothing changes in the moment. But God is gathering all of it to grow a beautiful future in your life.

Hope means trusting that God is taking care of tomorrow, even when you don't see anything happening yet.
The Gardener of Hope

Challenge

Question: which little seed did you water today? Whoever does it is today's Gardener of Hope!

Family Prayer

Lord, thank You for taking care of our future every day, even when we don't notice. Help our family have real hope, which means trusting You, not just wishing everything works out. Teach us to do good on ordinary days, even without seeing the result right away. And thank You because, with You, our future is bright. In Jesus' name, amen.
