Wisdom Pill · Day 29

What You Do When Nobody's Clapping

July 29, 2026 · Proverbs 29:25

“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.”

Proverbs 29:25 · NIV

Before anything else: God loves you exactly the way you are, and His love doesn't grow when others praise you or shrink when someone doesn't like you. You're already deeply loved, and nobody can take that away.

Have you ever stopped doing something right out of fear people would laugh at you? Like when a friend was being teased and you stayed quiet so you wouldn't be next? That happens to everyone, even grown-ups. We get so afraid of what others will say that we forget to do what's good.

Today's verse tells us an important secret: being too afraid of what others think is a trap. It's like letting a bunch of people hold the remote control to your life, each one telling you to do something different. So tiring, right? You never get to do what you actually want.

Now here comes the part that gives you courage. You don't need everyone to like you, because there's Someone who already likes you and never will stop: God. He knows you completely, He even knows how many hairs are on your head, and He thinks you're more precious than all the birds in the sky. When we remember that God is watching with love, it gets a lot easier to be brave and do what's right, even when nobody's clapping.

Being brave means doing what's good, even when you're afraid of what others will say.
The Brave-Hearted

Challenge

Question: was it harder or easier than you thought? Whoever tries today is a Brave-Heart, and even if it gives you butterflies, God is on your side!

Family Prayer

Lord, thank You for liking us just the way we are, without needing anyone's applause. Help our family have the courage to do what's right, even when someone might laugh or not like it. Remind us that You're always watching with love and that our safety comes from You. In Jesus' name, amen.
