Day 11, so Proverbs 11... Verse 18 (GNT):
"Wicked people do not really gain anything, but if you do what is right, you are certain to be rewarded."
Imagine a game where someone secretly changes the rules to win. That person finishes first, but their friends did not have the same chance. Winning like that is not a good victory. What matters is not only the result, but also how you get there.
Sometimes doing right means giving back a turn you took, telling the truth about a broken piece, or admitting you made a mistake in a game. It can feel embarrassing at first. You can ask a trusted adult to help you speak up and correct what you can. You do not need to hide one mistake with another.
Doing good is not a way to get a present from God. Jesus loves you without demanding a win or a good grade. That love does not disappear when you make a mistake. With his help, you can learn to respect people and begin again. Doing right matters even when no one claps.
In your next game, ask, "Is everyone being treated with respect?" It is not your job to solve adults' problems or force others to be honest. You can take care of your own actions and ask for help when something does not seem fair.
Golden phrase: "Winning is good. Being fair is part of the game too."
