Day 12, so Proverbs 12... Verse 24 (GNT):
"Hard work will give you power; being lazy will make you a slave."
Imagine the group is about to draw, but nobody knows where the pencils are. A child finds the box, puts the supplies on the table, and asks whether anyone needs help. That child does not need to boss everyone around to make a difference. They took care of one small part and made the activity better for everyone.
This proverb shows that learning to care for our responsibilities can prepare us to help more. For you, that might mean putting a toy away after using it, getting your school supplies ready with an adult, or keeping an agreement suited to your age. The goal is not to be in charge of the house or solve adults' problems.
It does not mean doing everything alone, either. You may not know where something belongs or how a task should be done. Asking questions and asking for help are part of learning. And rest matters. A tired child does not need to prove their worth by working more.
Jesus loves you without requiring a finished task or a good grade. That love does not disappear when you forget something. He teaches us to care for people: even as the Teacher, he washed his friends' feet. With his help, you can learn to do your part without bossing others around and begin again when you make a mistake.
Golden phrase: "I can help by taking care of my part."
