Day 14, so Proverbs 14... Verse 17 (GNT):
"People with a hot temper do foolish things; wiser people remain calm."
You were playing, and someone took a piece you wanted to use. You feel like grabbing the toy or shouting. But that could hurt someone and make playing together even harder. The problem was sharing one piece; it does not have to become a fight.
Proverbs teaches that wisdom also shows in how we react. You can say: "I'm upset because I wanted that piece. Can we agree on taking turns?" If you cannot work it out, ask a trusted adult. You do not have to handle everything on your own.
Feeling angry does not make you a bad child. You are learning to explain your feelings without hitting, insulting, or breaking things. If you made a mistake, you can ask for help to acknowledge it and make what repairs you can. And if someone threatens or hurts you, find a trusted adult. Adults are responsible for protecting children.
Jesus loves you before you get anything right, even while you are still learning. During his arrest, he stopped an attack and cared for the injured man. With his help and the adults who care for you, you can say what you need and try a more respectful way of playing.
Golden phrase: "I can explain how I feel without hurting someone."
