Day 19, so Proverbs 19... Verse 2 (GNT):
"Enthusiasm without knowledge is not good; impatience will get you into trouble."
You want to build a garage for your toy car. You put up the walls quickly, then find the car cannot fit through the door. Before starting, you could have placed the car beside the building pieces to check the size. A short pause would have made playtime easier.
The proverb teaches us to think before acting. That may mean checking a game's rules, looking at a piece, or asking an adult when you do not know how to do something. Being careful does not mean being slow at everything. It means noticing what the task needs.
Jesus told a story about someone who wanted to build a tower and needed to consider what it would take. You can learn with a toy building without managing bills or solving grown-up worries. If someone is in danger, call a trusted adult and ask for help immediately.
Jesus loves you before you get anything right, even when your garage is too small and you need to try again. You do not have to do everything perfectly to be loved. With his help and the support of those who care for you, you can learn to look, ask, and begin again.
Golden phrase: "I can think for a moment before I start."
