Day 21, so Proverbs 21... Verse 12 (GNT):
"God, the righteous one, knows what goes on in the homes of the wicked, and he will bring the wicked down to ruin."
The class is drawing. One child takes a classmate's drawing, writes their own name on it, and receives praise. The work looks lovely, but something is wrong that the teacher does not yet know about. Receiving praise does not turn a lie into the truth.
The proverb teaches that God is just and sees wrongdoing, even when someone hides it from people. This does not mean every sad thing is a punishment or that you need to wait for something bad to happen to someone who did wrong. You can ask a trusted adult for help and tell them what really happened.
Jesus knows the real you and loves you before any praise, even when you make mistakes. You do not need to make up a story to stay loved. If you did something wrong, you can tell the truth, ask for forgiveness, and, with help, put right what you can. His love does not depend on your making a perfect drawing.
If someone is hurting or threatening you, or asking you to hide something that makes you feel unsafe, tell a trusted adult. If the first one does not help, find another. You do not need to solve the problem alone or punish anyone. Learning to do right also means accepting care.
Golden phrase: "I can tell the truth and ask for help."
