Day 24, so Proverbs 24... Verse 19 (GNT):
"Don't let evil people worry you; don't be envious of them."
During a game, a child notices that another child secretly changed the rule and won. The child feels sad and thinks: "Next time, I will do the same." Wanting to win is understandable, and it is all right to talk about feeling sad. But copying cheating does not make the game fair.
The proverb helps us not to let someone else's wrongdoing choose our response. You can tell a trusted adult what happened and ask for a clear rule for everyone. You do not need to call the other child evil or wait for them to get hurt before feeling happy. If there is humiliation, a threat, or aggression, seek protection; if the first adult does not help, find another.
Jesus loves you before any victory, including when you lose, feel envious, or make a wrong choice. You do not need to win or be perfect to receive his love. Jesus refused an offer that required disobeying God. With him, we can learn to say no to wrongdoing and ask forgiveness when we make mistakes.
Adults should help resolve conflicts and keep everyone safe. It is not a child's job to investigate fraud, confront an aggressive person, or solve adult problems. You can ask for help and return to playing when conditions are safe and fair.
Golden phrase: "I can ask for fairness without copying what is wrong."
