Day 31, so Proverbs 31... Verse 31 (GNT, paraphrase):
Recognize her work and let everyone show appreciation for the good she does.
You come to the table and find your snack ready. Someone chose the food, washed the fruit, and put everything there. It seems small, but someone cared before you took the first bite. Today, find out who helped and say, "Thank you for preparing my snack with such care!"
At the end of Proverbs 31, the Bible calls for a woman to be recognized for the good she does. We can also learn to notice the people who care for our homes, schools, and communities. Giving thanks is not a competition to decide who is better. It shows that we noticed a kind act.
Jesus recognized a woman's gesture when other people were criticizing her. He teaches us to look with kindness and not erase the good someone did. You can also give thanks and help with a task suited to your age, agreed on with the person caring for you. You do not need to take on adult responsibilities or be responsible for making adults happy.
And remember: Jesus loves you before you do any task. That love does not shrink when you forget to say thank you or need help learning. You deserve care even when you are tired, sad, or cannot do something. We can practice gratitude with joy because we are already loved.
Golden phrase: "I can notice care and give thanks with kindness."
