The image of "reposing" is powerful. It means wisdom has found a comfortable home.
The Quietness of Possession
When you're certain of something, you don't need to prove anything to anyone. Wisdom in the heart of the discerning is like a heavy, valuable piece of furniture that "reposes" in the room. It's there, solid, ready to be used, but it doesn't need to be dragged out into the street to get attention.
The Noise of Lack
The end of the verse suggests that, among fools, knowledge is treated differently. The fool, when he learns something new, needs to shout it from the rooftops to seem smart. Or, his own foolishness makes the lack of wisdom obvious to everyone. Superficiality is noisy; depth is silent.
Inner Security
Whoever has discernment doesn't live anxiously trying to show off his work or knowledge. He has inner peace. Wisdom "rests" in him. He knows when to speak and when to stay quiet, because his identity doesn't depend on the crowd's applause.

Level 5 Leaders are the embodiment of this verse. They were described as shy, quiet, and humble. They weren't the "Celebrity CEOs" who lived giving interviews and making noise (the fool who wants to be known). Management wisdom rested in them. They let the results speak, while they kept their serenity and focus on what mattered.

Emotional intelligence involves controlling the impulse to speak. The expert knows that "whoever says everything he knows, knows little." Wisdom rests; it waits for the right moment (the timing) to be delivered. The fool delivers everything at the wrong time, devaluing his own knowledge.
Jesus often withdrew to solitary places to pray. Wisdom rested in Him.
Before Pilate and Herod, when He was provoked to perform miracles or defend Himself, Jesus remained silent or answered briefly. He didn't need to prove His divinity with "shows." Truth rested in Him with such force that His silence shouted louder than the crowd's hysteria.
