Day 16, so Proverbs 16.

The Effect of Favor

Underlined Verse

When the Lord takes pleasure in anyone's way, he causes their enemies to make peace with them.

The Effect of Favor

Proverbs 16 · 7 · NIV

Reflection

The question isn't "what do my enemies think of me?"

The question is: "Is God pleased with who I'm becoming?"

You control your life before God. God takes care of what's outside your control. Excellence of character attracts allies and silences enemies without you having to lift a finger.

Today's Challenge

The Right Question

Stop managing what others think. Ask today: "What would make God proud of me?", and go do it.

The Christ-Centered Connection

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name.

Philippians 2 · 9

When you stop managing what others think and start managing who you're becoming before God, the Lord takes over the backstage of your relationships.

Proverbs 16:7 · Philippians 2:9-11 · Romans 12:19
