Reflection
The question isn't how much you speak, it's how deep what you speak actually is.
Shallow water: gossip, complaining, empty words. Deep water: words that build up, that last, that transform.
The wise person doesn't hoard knowledge for themselves, they let it flow. But pay attention: you can only offer deep water if your inner well is deep. What you consume determines what you speak.
Today's Challenge
Deep Water or Shallow Puddle?
Before every important conversation, pause for 5 seconds: "Is what I'm about to say deep water or a shallow puddle?"
The Christ-Centered Connection
Whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.
John 4 · 14
Jesus is the Word made flesh, the deepest waters that exist. When we drink deeply from Him, what comes out of our mouth begins to carry that same taste of eternal life.
