Day 28, so Proverbs 28.
Verse Underlined
The greedy stir up conflict, but those who trust in the Lord will prosper.
Selfishness or Trust
Proverbs 28 · 25 · NIV
Reflection
Selfishness is fundamentally fear — fear of not having enough. Trust in God dissolves that fear. Whoever doesn't need to grasp can serve, collaborate, and build.
The selfish person treats relationships as transactions and people as resources. The inevitable result is conflict — not sometimes: always.
The antidote isn't willpower — it's trust. Whoever knows God is their source doesn't need to grasp.
Today's challenge
Replace the Grasp with Trust
Where are you operating in selfishness today? Replace the grasp with trust.God is your source — and that source never runs dry.
The Christ-Centered Connection
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
Proverbs 3 · 5
Selfishness seeks things first. Trust seeks God first — and the things come as a consequence.
Proverbs 28:25 · Proverbs 3:5-6 · Matthew 6:33 · Philippians 4:19
