God's Heart Compass: What He Loves and What He Detests

Day 15 · January · Proverbs 15:9

Today's verse

“The Father in Heaven doesn't like mean things, but He loves and smiles at whoever tries to do good.”

Proverbs 15:9 · NIV

The Story

You know when we walk past some stinky trash? We hold our nose and run past, right? "Yuck!" But when Mom is baking a delicious cake, we want to stay close smelling that good smell. "Mmm!"

The Bible says that for God, meanness (lying, hitting) is just like that bad smell. He "detests" it and moves away. But when you do the right thing (are fair, share your toys), that's a "perfume" to God. He loves it and wants to stay close!

Today's Challenge

Today, let's make a "perfume" for God? Choose something really nice and fair to

Today, let's make a "perfume" for God? Choose something really nice and fair to do (help your sibling or obey the first time you're asked). Let's make the Father in Heaven happy with our sweet smell of kindness!

Whoever completes it becomes the Wisdom Guardian of day 15!
