The Heavy Backpack

Day 16 · February · Proverbs 16:3

Today's verse

“Our plans are heavy like a backpack full of rocks. But our Father in Heaven is strong and says: ‘Hand me the backpack, I'll carry it and we'll go together!’”

Proverbs 16:3 · NIV

The Story

Imagine you have to climb a mountain carrying a really heavy backpack. You'd get tired and fall, right? But if dad is right there and says, "Give me the backpack, son," you'd climb up running and happy!

"Committing your plans" means handing the heavy backpack to God. When you have a hard test or are scared of something, don't try to carry it alone. Say: "Father in Heaven, will You carry this with me?" Then everything works out, because God is the strongest in the whole world!

Today's Challenge

Handing Over the Backpack

Today, before going to school or playing, let's do the "Handing Over the Backpack." Close your eyes and imagine you're taking the weight off your back and handing it to Jesus. Take a deep breath and say: "Now I'm light and ready to play!"

Whoever hands the backpack to God walks lighter!
