Wisdom Pill · For the grown-ups to read with the kids

The Ice Superhero

Day 17 · February · Proverbs 17:27

Today's verse

“Whoever is smart doesn't let others push their anger button. Whoever is strong can stay calm even when the volcano wants to explode.”

Proverbs 17:27 · NIV

The Story

Have you ever seen a toy with a button on its back? You press it and it talks or moves. Some people are like that: their brother teases them (presses the button) and they yell right away! That's not cool. It means the other person is controlling you.

The Bible says the smart kid "stays calm." He's like an ice superhero. When someone tries to bug him, he takes a deep breath, holds his tongue, and doesn't explode. Whoever can stay calm wins the fight without even needing to hit anyone!

Today's Challenge

The Ice Statue

Today we're going to play "Ice Statue." If someone gets mad or upset, they have to turn into an Ice Statue: freeze, close their mouth, and count to 3. Only after counting can they unfreeze and talk in a calm voice.

Whoever can control themselves is the strongest!
