Have you noticed that when you help put away the toys or do your homework nicely without anyone asking, mom and dad flash a huge smile? Their eyes light up with joy because you're being "wise"!
But when we throw a tantrum, fight with a sibling, or lie, the smile disappears and their heart feels sad. The Bible says that our attitudes have a superpower: they can turn on or off the smile of the people we love!
Jesus was like that. He was so obedient and so wise that the Father in Heaven said out loud: "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased!" God was smiling with pride! We can do that too with mom and dad, all the time.
The wise son uses the superpower to spread joy at home.
