Today's Verse
“Have you ever seen a lion in a documentary? It doesn't run when other animals stare. It doesn't apologize for existing. It simply walks, calm and confident.”

The Story
Imagine someone at school makes a mean face at you when you answer correctly in class. Are you going to stop answering because of that? Retreating means letting other people's mean faces decide who you are. But Proverbs says: the lion doesn't do that! It knows who it is, and it simply walks.
Jesus never retreated in the face of anyone's opinion. He spoke the truth in love, moved forward with purpose, and knew exactly who He was. We are children of God, and children of God don't need to retreat!
Today's Challenge
Be the Lion
Today, when you feel like retreating out of fear of what someone will think, move forward! Ask the question in class, defend your friend, say what you believe with kindness. At the end of the day, tell your family: when did I not retreat today?
Whoever does that is today's Lion!
