The Guardian of Truth

Day 12 · June · Proverbs 12:19

Today's Verse

“Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.”

Proverbs 12:19 · NIV

The Story

A lie is like a snowball: you tell a small one, then you need to tell another to cover it up, and it keeps growing until it bursts! But truth you say once, and that's it, you stay at peace!

Have you ever told a little lie and then had to tell more lies so no one would find out? Exhausting, right?

That's because a lie can never stand on its own, it needs other lies to hold it up. And sooner or later, it all comes crashing down!

Truth is different: you say it once and it holds itself up. You feel light, calm, with no fear of being found out.

And here's something beautiful: Jesus said He is the Truth (John 14:6)! So when you tell the truth, you're looking like Him.

A lie always ends; but truth lives forever, because Truth is Jesus Himself!

A lie always ends; but truth lives forever, because Truth is Jesus Himself!
