Look at the supreme example of Jesus Christ in the desert (Matthew 4). When the devil offered him all the kingdoms of the world, Jesus didn't say: "Let me think about it, let's negotiate the terms." He didn't flirt with the offer. He cut off evil at the root with the Word of God: “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”
Jesus didn't let the offer win an inch of his heart. In Matthew 5:28, he raises the bar, saying that the fall doesn't happen in the physical act, but in the moment you "look at someone lustfully." “But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.” The holiness Christ requires is exactly this: obey Proverbs 7:25, protect the heart at all costs, and turn your feet away from the path of evil. With the strength of the Holy Spirit, we have the power to say "NO" before the first step.
