There's a world of difference between hearing and accepting. Most people hear criticism defensively, already filtering arguments to push back.
The victim mindset interprets any feedback as an injustice. The self-responsible person treats criticism as data, and uses it to grow.
Your capacity to receive criticism is the most accurate thermometer of your level of maturity.

The Hand That Shapes
Think about the last time someone criticized you. Did you accept it or dismiss it? Find someone you trust and ask: "What do you think I could improve?", and just listen.
